Jeep Owner Puts An Entire New Spin On ‘Camping Out’
A neighborhood grows tired of one Jeep owner moving in with just his Jeep to dwell in.
There’s nothing like one’s unbreakable bond with their Jeep. Well, that’s unless it borders on insanity and disrupts the lives of everyone else in the vicinity of one’s beloved vehicle.
Such is the case with one man in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who has resorted to living in his Jeep Cherokee, much to the dismay of area neighbors, as detailed in a KRQE report. The man, who goes by the name of OJ, has even plopped a sofa on top of the Jeep. Apparently, there’s also a motorcycle parked near the SUV, much like someone would park the bike at a more traditional dwelling.
If the man had taken refuge in some desolate area, this might not be a problem at all. But considering that it’s a neighborhood, this Jeep owner’s camping obsession for living as one with nature and his Cherokee has quickly grown into a nuisance that most die-hard Jeep enthusiasts would likely find annoying.
“I don’t like to walk this way and I’ve lived here for five years. I see this and I’m intimidated,” neighbor Robert Guerrero tells the local Albuquerque news source.
Brittany Sanchez, a local landlord in the area, says the man’s Jeep even disrupts pedestrian traffic in the area. “It has been quite the hassle to convince my tenants that this is a good neighborhood,” she says.
