Jeep lovers show support for dying Copperas Cove teen
COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Jeep owners from all over paraded through the city of Copperas Copperas to show support for 16-year-old Savannah Lewis.
Savannah was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma over a year and a half ago.
She shares her love for Jeeps with her father David Lewis.
David is part of a jeep facebook group that is run by Jason and Missy Koch.
After a talk last week Jason just knew he had to do something to cheer him up.
“I got home and I said we got to do something,” Jason said.
“We brought the jeep community together and they’ve come out in full force.”
“The Jeep community she loves so much is here for her,” Missy said.
Hundreds of Jeeps filled the parking lot of HEB in Copperas Cove.
Jeeps with banners, signs and window art showing love and support for Savannah.
Jeeps, big and small and drivers from all over Texas and even Missouri made their way downtown and throughout the city.
Residents cheered them on as they rolled through savannah’s neighborhood.
She was sitting outside watching each jeep that passed by with her dad was right by her side the whole time.
“There were definitely moments that I could tell that she was overcome by it all. She would laugh a little, smile and she was definitely waving,” David Lewis said.
Battling cancer can be hard, but the community is supporting her 100%.
They want her to always remember how much they love her.
“Keep fighting we will keep praying for a miracle,” David said.
The Savannah strong campaign has made its way to Germany.
They hope it will continue and inspire all.http://love4x4.net/index.php/2017/12/04/jeep-lovers-show-support-dying-copperas-cove-teen/http://love4x4.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/jeepsforSavannah.jpghttp://love4x4.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/jeepsforSavannah-150x150.jpgJeep
