Next Jeep Wrangler Seen In Spy Photos, Backup Camera Revealed
The latest Jeep Wrangler JL vehicle is about to be unveiled and its spy photos have just surfaced online. So far, these new photos offer the closest and best look for the new model. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicle is reportedly getting the biggest makeover for its lineup which many has feared to include the removal of some of the Wrangler’s best features.

Initially, there were fear and rumors about the abandonment of the vehicle’s body on frame configuration alongside its “tried-and-true solid axle.” However, as per Truck Trend, the popular lineup decided to retain its Jeep’s basic formula. Nevertheless, official announcements are yet to take place. It was said that the Jeep Wrangler JL could be showcased as the Los Angeles Auto Show 2017.
As per the source, the JL Jeep will likely come with three engine options and two transmission choices. An eight-speed automatic transmission option will be offered alongside a six-speed manual option. The engine options will include a gas V-6 engine, turbocharged I-4 and 3.0L EcoDiesel V-6. Nevertheless, the diesel option may only be available in automatic transmission.

The photos of the Jeep that surfaced online showed the vehicle wearing its test car camouflage. However, there’s one tiny but significant detail that was spotted in the photos and it is the backup camera at the vehicle’s rear. The camera had been mounted on the Jeep’s spare.
Additional information from the photos include details about the grille and it showed the back canted seven slot setup. Moreover, the car’s windshield also looked fixed and tilted at a better angle. Overall, the Wrangler Jeep did not change so much and it did not stray too far away from its iconic designs. Auto Blog said that the general design of the Wrangler Jeep is pretty much carved in stone.
